The Cottages Exterior

The cottages were once part of a farm steading. One was a stable and the other a mill. Originally the mill was operated by a horse which walked in a circle driving a capstan linked via a shaft to the the mill inside the building. The aperture through which the shaft passed is still visible and one of the millstones we found when excavating the site has been used in the patio.

To the West is a courtyard, and to the East are the enclosed patios with views over the paddock to the Fintry Hills

There is ample parking space and guests have access to the paddock with its pond stream and open space.
